Stopped by tonight before seeing a show and we're so glad we stumbled upon it. The place is huge - apparently used to be a bank. There are loads of tables spaced nicely apart on the ground floor as well as a long bar (with a vault door behind it) with more seating. There's an upstairs section that looked like it had more tables but it wasn't too busy when we arrived so nobody was up there. We were greeted and seated quickly. Our server was friendly and checked in with us a few times. We ordered ginger ale and a root beer, two bottles were brought and those were delish. The ginger ale had ginger in it - not Canada Dry - and that was a great thing. Both made with cane sugar too. We ordered a large Caesar salad and our server told us he'd bring two smalls because they were on the happy hour menu and saved us a couple bucks. Love when servers do that and it was the right amount for the three of us. The dressing was good but we like it with anchovies in it and didn't taste any. Edited to add: my husband just informed me we could have gotten anchovies added to the salad for $3. I would have preferred it in the dressing instead of on the salad. It was still good though. The pizzas come with three options: thin crust, Detroit style (sheet pan with baked cheese edge) and deep dish. We ordered a Detroit-styled half pepperoni and half Little Star (spinach with ricotta and feta, mushrooms, our choice of fresh or roasted garlic - we got roasted, and onions) and they were both so good! And I'm not a pizza lover so to say that is a good thing in my book. If we are ever in the area again we'd definitely go back.

5 Stars for THIS Star.. This rating had everything to do with the rim of the Star Sunrise. It had a chamoy/tajin rim that made me feel like I was in Mexico. The patio is quaint and the service was phenomenal. Diego was our server and was super friendly and attentive.

Went for HH today and it was amazing. Personal pizza with thin crust was $7. The crust was perfect and the sauce to cheese ratio was spot on. Also had a mini salad for $6 and let me tell you it was not mini. And delicious!! I had the Caesar and my sister had the wedge. I think the croutons on my salad were the best I've ever had. A bottle of rosé for $24. Sat outside which was absolutely lovely. The service was superb. I will definitely be back. HH or not. Highly recommend! I also saw the deep dish pizza which looked amazing. Just not my thing. Highly recommend

We tend to come here during happy hour because we love their personal sized pizza deal. It is a filling, delicious snack for one or two people depending on how hungry you are! We always get a beer on tap too! We love this place

We came here for Mother's Day and ordered the deep dish Italian combo with sausage and the mixed salad. It was very delicious and really cheesy! The crust has a good buttery taste to it and a little soft too. The mixed salad was great for 4 people and had a great mix of Gorgonzola cheese, cherry tomatoes, candied walnuts, vinagarette dressing and red peppers. The restaurant has a good vibe where it's classy but still casual. On our bill we were surprised to see the extra surcharge and not sure what it is. We asked the waitress and she kind of rolled her eyes at us and didn't really appreciate that. This surcharge didn't include the tips and tax. Overrall, if you're looking for great deep dish pizza spot this would be a great place for family and friends to enjoy drinks too.

My friend and I arrived here six minutes before Happy Hour ended at 6 PM. I have been at The Star on the Park several times in the past. For some of my siblings and me, The Star is one of our favorite places to have a freshly made pizza. I like Round Table, but this bar/restaurant has a truly beautiful ambiance. The service was excellent and the waitstaff was attentive to our needs. Kudos to the employees who served us. Eats: My friend had the roasted garlic pizza, Greek Salad and an Arnold Palmer. Me: Mushroom pizza and an Arnold Palmer. I did not have enough room for their roasted cauliflower. A six sliced one topping pizza was $7.00 and the Greek salad was $8.00 during Happy Hour. My friend raved about this place and said the quality of her meal was much better than The Star on Lakeshore Avenue in Oakland. There will be more visits to The Star on Park for the roasted cauliflower and pizza.

Everything here was amazing! From the food to the drinks to the service our overall experience was wonderful. Our server John S was very hospitable and kind. The food came out quicker than expected. We went on a Friday night and had a reservation for 2 at 7pm but I don't think the reservation was needed. Cheesy Garlic Dippers 8/10 Caesar Salad 9/10 Meatball Pizza 10/10 Limoncello Martini 10/10 (so good I had to have 3)

Dropped by for a quick dessert after dinner. God pleasantly surprised by the service and slightly disappointed for the fact that they ran out of cherries for our old-fashioned. Not too many people, quiet and nice atmosphere is something that always appreciated.

Came here for lunch on what seemed like a non busy day. So was seated fairly quickly. Service was decent, not super fast but not too slow. Cool looking place, definitely what stole the show was the food! Delicious, nice helpings on large pizza but burrata was definitely something that needs more . Would come back again
